Ball Animation 2

Ball Animation 2

What I learned

I learned how to use arcs. I learned how important it is to have them and how it impacts the animation over all. I learned that when something bounces, it doesn't bounce in a straight line. We learned how to make the faces different and how that also impacts on the animation. I learned how to make things fade in. When it fades in, it has to pause for a few seconds.

The Process

It is different from the first animation. In the first animation, it only goes just up and down and needs less frames. In this animation, we needed many of the same frames and it takes a lot more time. We also needed more than one ball, the faces are to help make the ball look like its getting squashed. The ball is also going in a different direction.

Ball Animation

Ball Animation

In class, we learned how to make a ball bounce. It was pretty hard at first, but I did figure it out.

The process

As I said before, it was hard at first. I had a hard time saving the backgrounds. I had a to start over a lot, but now I know what to do. It was really fun to learn how to animate the ball. At times I didn't put  a lot of notes so i was kind of confused when working. I think the hardest part about this starting over all the time and understanding what was happening. I really appreciate that Lizzy helped me when I need it (and it was a lot).

What I learned

I learned how to make a ball bounce. Over all, everything I learned was new. It was a lot of work to start over almost everyday. I learned that if the balls are too far away from each other, the animation will look really choppy. I also learned that you shouldn't squish the ball too much.

What I'd do differently

I'd make the balls closer together. Like I said, it looks really choppy. I'd also make sure it saves correctly each time. Other than that, I wouldn't really change anything.

Sidewalk Chalk Flags.

The sidewalk chalk; to do this project, we where split into groups. I was on group two. Once we got into our groups, we discussed who was going to have what color. The colors represented our personality. I was given blue (blue represents calmness and wisdom). After everyone got a certain color, we had to choose a symbol and also represened us. For our flag, blue was used for the sky and graduation caps. The blue sky is a symbol of calmness and the caps are for wisdom. While working, we noticed that we were drawing too big. We were unable to put flowers on the side.
Everyone has put a lot of work into drawing. There where a lot of people who came by to look at ours. It was picture day so a lot of us were wearing nice clothes and were trying not to get chalk on their clothes. A lot of us didn't want to get on the ground (including me).
